Dear Players,
Welcome to the 2022/23 season. I just wanted to update you all with the current situation for the season ahead.
We are still awaiting the fixtures to be released as CSB are having a few issues in finalising the availability of some grounds.
I believe the Firsts and Seconds will have a mixture of one day and two day cricket. The Thirds and the Fourths will solely be 1 day cricket.
The 3rds have been confirmed in Division 6, and the 4ths have been confirmed in Division 8.
Congratulations to our appointed captains this year and good luck to you all; they are Wade King (1XI), Adam Pullman (2XI), Sharne Murdoch (3XI) and Daryl Strudwick (4XI).
Lee Weiss, our new coach, has been instrumental in conjuring up some new drills and really making training interesting and enjoyable.
The positive attitudes of Lee along with our new recruits Andrew “Jonesy” Jones (bowling coach) and Jordan “Jordy” McCulley have energised the group. Jonesy and Jordy are cracking lads and will be a huge asset for us so get down to meet them and make them feel welcome.
Please notify Lee if you haven’t already joined his private McKinnon players Facebook page. Please send him your details via text 0432 188 438 so he can add you to the Group and keep you up to date with training details. Lee issues polls and needs to know the numbers prior to training commencing, so he can organise himself accordingly.
I know there are injuries out there and people are away on holiday but if you can please let Lee and I know what is going on with your training availability we would appreciate it.
Round 1 is three weeks away so please get to training!!!
Also, let me know ASAP your availability for the season.
